About
A small studio
in the 11th, working
slowly on film.
I'm Margaux. I've been a photographer for eleven years, the last seven in this little studio on Rue des Lilas.
I work almost entirely on film — mostly 35mm Portra and a medium format Pentax 67. I develop what I can in the darkroom at the back of the studio; the rest goes to a small lab in the 20th. Prints are hand-made on baryta paper, then mounted, numbered, and sent in linen folders.
I trained at ICP in New York, then spent two years assisting wedding photographers in the south of France before opening the studio in 2018. Most of my work comes through word of mouth — I take on roughly twenty weddings and a handful of brand projects each year.
Outside of work, I run a small darkroom open-studio on Saturday mornings for amateurs who want to learn film. I'm also a slow cyclist and an even slower cook.
